Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

ManiFest is a Chrome extension that helps DJs track and enter festival contests and competitions. This policy explains what data the extension handles and where it goes. The short version: your data lives in your own Google account, and we do not collect, sell, or monetize it.

How ManiFest uses your Google data

ManiFest requests a single Google OAuth scope — drive.file — and uses it only as described here. Access: drive.file lets ManiFest create and open only the files it makes itself: the spreadsheet it builds for your pipeline and profile, and your capture screenshots. It cannot see anything else in your Drive, and ManiFest requests no access to your other Google data. Use: this data powers the extension's features only — your pipeline board, your artist profile, and your captures. Storage: it lives in your own Google account; ManiFest's servers never receive or retain a copy of your spreadsheet or Drive files. Sharing: ManiFest shares your Google data with no one — the sole exception is submission sharing, off by default, which (only if you enable it) sends the public press-kit fields you choose, never your Google files, email, or phone.

Data stored in your Google account

ManiFest stores your opportunity pipeline and artist profile in a Google Sheet, and capture screenshots in a Google Drive folder — both created in your Google account, owned by you, deletable by you at any time. ManiFest uses only the drive.file OAuth scope, so it can access only the files it created; it cannot see the rest of your Drive. You can revoke ManiFest's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Limited Use disclosure

ManiFest's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide ManiFest's user-facing features (your pipeline board, your profile, your capture images). It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never read by humans except with your explicit permission for support.

Screenshot processing

When you click Capture, a screenshot of the current tab is sent to the ManiFest API, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to extract opportunity details (event name, dates, submission link). Screenshots are processed to produce that extraction and are not used to train AI models (per Anthropic's commercial terms). The resulting image is stored in your own Google Drive, not on our servers.

What our servers store

The ManiFest API stores a random install identifier (a UUID that is not linked to your name, email, or Google account) and daily usage counts per install, used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

If submission sharing is enabled (off by default — you're prompted to turn it on during setup, and can toggle it anytime in the extension's Settings), marking an application as submitted also stores: your public artist profile (artist name, press photo URL, bio, genres, city, and public links — the material you'd put in a press kit) to power your hosted artist page, and a record of the submission (which opportunity, when) to power feedback receipts — whether the festival received, viewed, or listened, and their decision. Contact details from your profile (email, phone) are never synced. Disable submission sharing at any time in Settings; to delete stored data, contact info@manifestdj.app.

The extension itself uses no analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising SDKs. (Analytics for this website, manifestdj.app, are described under "Website analytics" below.)

Form filling

The autofill assistant reads the form fields on application pages you choose to fill and matches them against your artist profile. Field labels (never unrelated site content) are sent to the ManiFest API for AI-assisted matching. The assistant never submits a form — the final Submit click is always yours.

Data security

All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) — between the extension, Google's APIs, and the ManiFest API. ManiFest is built on data minimization: your Google data stays in your Google account and is never copied to our servers. The only data our servers hold is an anonymous random install identifier (not linked to your name, email, or Google account) and per-install usage counts for abuse prevention — plus, only if you enable submission sharing, the public profile and submission records described above. That server-side data is keyed to the anonymous identifier rather than your identity, and access to it is restricted to ManiFest's operator. Retention and deletion: you control your data directly — delete your workspace sheet or Drive files at any time, revoke ManiFest's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and email info@manifestdj.app to remove any submission-sharing data. Screenshots sent for extraction are processed transiently, are not stored on our servers, and are never used to train AI models.

Website analytics

This section covers manifestdj.app (this website), which is separate from the extension described above. We use two privacy-conscious tools to understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it: Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and referral source), and Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregated. This data is used only to measure and improve the website. It is never sold, and it is not linked to the data in your Google account or to your use of the extension. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy as the product evolves (for example, if optional accounts or festival-side features launch) and change the effective date above. Questions: info@manifestdj.app.
